Canyon View 

How it all began

It all began with a proposal.  Our daughter was getting married!  Her boyfriend had proposed to her at our home in pioneer, they both loved the property and the view.  They decided that they would like to get married there, if possible.

The property was nowhere near ready, but we were up for the challenge.  There is a second two car garage that was full of stuff, so we got to work cleaning it out.  We finished the walls (to make it look like a barn), put down wood flooring for dancing and finished the ceiling with some lights and draped fabric. Then it was on to the back yard.  We had the backyard leveled, concrete poured, and artificial grass put down.  We replaced the old deck off the back of the house and added a new deck overlooking the canyon.  We built an octagonal arch way to frame out the area where they would say "I Do".  We decided that instead of renting the tent, tables and chairs that we would just purchase them for future family gatherings and parties.

On her wedding day the photographer, videographer, and DJ were amazed at the place, when we had said that the wedding was going to be held in the backyard, it was not at all what they were expecting.  To them it was more like a venue then a backyard.  That started the idea, but it wasn't until our daughter's friend got engaged the following year and asked if they could get married there as well. We received so many compliments from their photographer, DJ, their family and friends that we decided why not. 

So here we are hoping that our home at Canyon View will be a memorable place for your special day or event.
